Forty artists open their doors to the public over the weekend, 11.00am - 6.00pm, showcasing painting, printmaking, photography, jewellery, ceramics, sculpture and stonemasonry. Visitors can meet the artists, talk about their work and even buy original art at affordable prices. A brochure detailing artists and venues is available from local shops and online.

Revive, Reupholster & Take Home an Antique Chair

Event Type: Craft Course/Workshop
We supply the chair - a classic that has seen better days. You bring it back to life! All chairs are ready prepped to save time, but you'll learn how to rejuvenate the old wood and then use traditional techniques for webbing, stuffing, tightening and covering your chair with fabric. Under the guiding eye of Nickie Titterington, you will give it some love and a whole new lease of life!

Stained Glass Workshop - Leading and Copper Foiling

Event Type: Craft Course/Workshop
A two-day course with stained glass artist and experienced tutor Sarah Glover. Make a lovely stained glass panel to your own design. You will learn how to design a panel, select and cut glass, and cut and solder lead. There is also the option of copper foiling your panel instead of using lead.

Barleylands Craft Fair

The Village at Barleylands is opening its doors on the 7th May (10am-5pm) with more going on than ever. With over 50 craft studios and boutiques to explore, farmers market stalls, extra craft exhibitors and demonstrations. It's set to be a great day out to celebrate local craftsmen!

Felt Picture Workshop

This workshop is 9 hours long and is tailored to the experience of the individual, so it is suitable for the novice and experienced alike. You will need to bring an inspirational image and I will teach you how to create your Picture using the techniques of wet felting, pre-felting, needle felting, with specific guidance to manipulating the fibres to get the desired effects using merino wool.
