YOLA Open Studios

Event Type: Open Studio/Art Trail
A small number of artists in Haxby & Wigginton near York will be opening their studios during the Local Scarecrow Festival over the bank holiday weekend of 29th/30th April and 1st May and will be participating in the scarecrow trails. Venue locations are within walking distance, (a mile approx), and parking is available. Local amenities for visitors include shops, cafes and pubs.

Basic Woodworking 3

Event Type: Craft Course/Workshop
Learn basic routing and wood bending and expand your dovetailing skills. You will make a curved, dovetailed box to take home. This course builds on the skills learned in 'Basic Woodworking 1' and 'Basic Woodworking 2', but if you are practically-minded with reasonable woodworking skills we're happy to discuss whether this is an appropriate course for you.

Open Up

Event Type: Open Studio/Art Trail
Open Up is Sheffield's open studios event when the public are invited to visit artists of all disciplines in their own work space.
Stitched Up and Fleeced will have 3 textile artists working on their work, covering Stitch (Sue Lancaster), Felt (Jude Shore) and Print (Julie Shearing).
The studio will be open to visitors each day 11-5 on April 29th, 30th and May 1st, 6th and 7th

Collagraphy

Event Type: Craft Course/Workshop
This session is an introduction to the basic techniques of collagraph. Using fabric, aluminum foils, paper and other textured materials create a textured printing plate. Learn how to ink up your plate using oil based inks and make a series of limited edition prints using our professional etching press and various hand tools. Book by: 3 May '17
