Open Studios North Fife 2017

Event Type: Open Studio/Art Trail
Open Studios is an opportunity for you to speak to artists about their methods and sources of inspiration and perhaps buy or commission directly from them while exploring a lovely part of Scotland. Some run workshops and demonstrations during the event. You also get to see inside the interesting spaces in which they work!

YOLA Open Studios

A small number of artists in Haxby & Wigginton near York will be opening their studios during the Local Scarecrow Festival over the bank holiday weekend of 29th/30th April and 1st May and will be participating in the scarecrow trails. Venue locations are within walking distance, (a mile approx), and parking is available. Local amenities for visitors include shops, cafes and pubs.

Basic Woodworking 3

Event Type: Craft Course/Workshop
Learn basic routing and wood bending and expand your dovetailing skills. You will make a curved, dovetailed box to take home. This course builds on the skills learned in 'Basic Woodworking 1' and 'Basic Woodworking 2', but if you are practically-minded with reasonable woodworking skills we're happy to discuss whether this is an appropriate course for you.

This session is an introduction to the basic techniques of collagraph. Using fabric, aluminum foils, paper and other textured materials create a textured printing plate.
